MegaSun 5.0 Reptiles-Planet lamps emit average UVB values (for example: 26 W/cm² at 30 cm for the 26 W), and standard UVA (75 W/cm² at 30 cm). They are intended for lizards and turtles that live in tropical forests, under the canopy, where the sun’s UV rays are filtered by the foliage of the trees. Snakes are not concerned, as they eat prey that already contains vitamin D (in their liver). UVA provide physiological well-being to the animals and will reduce their stress, promote food intake, and reproduction.
