ULTRASUN

Prevention of metabolic bone degeneration: the UVB rays in your ULTRASUN will help your reptiles synthesize provitamin D3 (optimal calcium absorption through vitamin D3 production). The UVA will provide physiological well-being to the animals by reducing their stress.
Can be placed on top of the mesh. Simplified installation, as the lamp is self-ballasted: it screws into a standard E27 ceramic socket (no separate ballast needed).

Note: You must allow your animal to climb to different heights (even turtles) by creating perches. This will allow it to choose the UV and heat it needs. Read the tests and recommended distances based on your animal, but also your setup (placed on the mesh or inside) on reptiles-planet.com. These lamps were initially designed for iguanas, as most fluorescent tubes did not reach far enough in large arboreal vivariums. We successfully use them with Bearded Dragons, Water Dragons, Chameleons, Anoles, and all terrestrial tortoises.
