Calcium Sand is a mineral substrate designed to recreate a natural desert floor in a terrarium. Made of calcium-enriched sand, it is intended for arid and semi-arid setups requiring a dry and well-ventilated environment.

Its fine and homogeneous grain size provides a stable and even surface, suitable for terrestrial reptiles living in desert environments. It promotes a dry substrate, limiting moisture retention and the formation of compacted areas when used under appropriate conditions.

The calcium enrichment may help reduce the consequences of accidental ingestion of small quantities, but it does not replace proper supplementation adapted to the species kept. This substrate also enhances the natural appearance of the biotope, integrating easily with rocky décor and typical arid environment layouts.

Calcium Sand is exclusively intended for dry terrariums. It is not suitable for humid or tropical setups requiring high humidity, where a substrate with greater water retention would be more appropriate.
